Session 1: Ageing - From Decline to Contribution
On 12 September 2026, EMAGE CIC delivered an inspiring Living Well, Ageing Well session on “Ageing: From Decline to Contribution” at Redbridge Central Library.Participants engaged actively throughout the session, sharing their experiences, ideas and perspectives through interactive activities and group discussions. The session encouraged participants to challenge negative perceptions of ageing and recognise the strengths, experience, wisdom and skills they continue to bring to their families and communities.Together, we explored how later life can be a time of purpose, connection, participation and meaningful contribution.🌿 Ageing is not only about what we may lose—it is also about what we can continue to give, share and achieve.
Session 2: Move • Breathe • Connect • Feel Better
Another wonderful Living Well, Ageing Well session was held on 16 September, bringing our community together for an uplifting Chair Yoga and Wellbeing session. 🧘♀️✨The session showed us that staying active does not always mean strenuous exercise. Gentle movement, stretching and mindful breathing can provide an accessible way for older adults to keep moving, relax and focus on their wellbeing. It was lovely to see participants taking part at their own pace, supporting one another, smiling and enjoying the shared experience. The session was not only about physical movement—it was also about creating a welcoming space where people could connect, feel included and enjoy time together. 💚At EMAGE, we believe healthy ageing is about continuing to find ways to move, participate, connect and care for ourselves at every stage of life.✨ Every movement counts, every connection matters, and it is never too late to invest in our wellbeing.
Session 3 : Nutrition and Healthy Eating Session
As part of EMAGE CIC’s Living Well, Ageing Well programme, our session on 19 September 2026 focused on nutrition, healthy eating and making practical food choices to support healthier ageing. The session was highly interactive and engaging, with participants actively sharing their own experiences, cultural food practices and views on healthy eating. Discussions explored how small and realistic changes to everyday meals can support better health, energy and wellbeing while still enjoying familiar and culturally appropriate foods.A key strength of the session was the opportunity for participants to learn from both the facilitator and one another. Participants asked questions, exchanged ideas and reflected on how healthier choices could be incorporated into their daily lives. The session reinforced an important message of the Living Well, Ageing Well programme: healthy ageing is not about giving up the foods and traditions we value, but about making informed, balanced and achievable choices that support our wellbeing throughout later life.
